Results and Indicators

The implementation of the project will generate sustainable results by engaging INCDMTM in global cooperation and competition and will increase the number of jobs by diversifying services for the economic sector.

 

Estimated Results:

• Modernization of the infrastructure through the acquisition of high-performance equipment, to support the new research directions; modernization of existing ones;
• Increasing the number of projects submitted in national and international partnerships to Horizon Europe and other European programs, in order to attract funding from external sources;
• Increasing the level of accessibility to national and international databases;
• Increasing the number of articles published in indexed scientific journals;
• Increasing the number of participations with papers at international conferences;
• Increasing the number of national and international patent proposals;
• Creating jobs and hiring young people within the Institute's projects;
• Increasing the mobility of researchers at international level;
• Increasing the diversification of services to industry, economy and society;
• Consistently increasing the technology transfer of RDI results by developing and implementing guidelines and procedures in the field of innovation and technology transfer;

Results of Phase IV/2023:

• Increasing the quality of the services offered by the accredited laboratories, by carrying out support activities aimed at ensuring the good functioning of the LE and LIL laboratories and professional training in the accredited field (by carrying out measurement services for the standard measuring instruments provided, preparation of documents regarding the realization of internal supervisions, professional training, by participating in training courses, participating in interlaboratory competence schemes, drawing up documentation in order to maintain accreditation, carrying out measurement services for metrological device calibrations, revision/calibration/calibration services, support services for maintaining its accreditation);
• Increasing the quality of testing and experimentation services in the Vibro-Acoustic Testing Laboratory (LIVA), through the application of new standards and regulations: development/revision of specific test and calibration procedures and the establishment of maintenance and operation requirements of the laboratory;
• Increasing the quality of the services offered by the Functional Measurements and Explorations Laboratory (MEF), by developing working procedures for the software products used in the laboratory;
• Development and implementation of RDI activity management platform software;
• Equipment maintenance within the Experimental, Prototype and Unique Models’ Execution Department;
• Increasing the visibility of CD activities and international connections of INCDMTM, by participating in international activities to disseminate the results of research and technological development - through the Institutional Project was financed (participation in two international conferences: International Conference "Flexible Automation and Intelligent Manufacturing" FAIM 2023, which took place between 18-22.06.2023, in Porto, Portugal and the International Conference ISPEM 2023, "The Fourth International Conference on Intelligent Systems in Production Engineering and Maintenance", which took place between 12 and 16.09.2023, in Wrocław, Poland);
• Development of practical skills and understanding of the manufacturing process, by deepening the practical and theoretical knowledge of young people from the Department of Biomedical Mechatronics and Robotics: training young researchers to use the Makino D200Z 5-axis machining center /training young researchers in different modules of the program SolidWorks CAD;
• Activities to increase scientific production and develop skills in the field of research-development of young people from the "Intelligent Systems. Data Acquisition and Robotics" Laboratory: carrying out a 15-day internship at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in Bremen, Germany;
• Granting access to researchers to archives, libraries, publications, databases and other sources of information;
• The popularization of research results, the exchange of experience and best practices, the creation of connections and partnerships at the national and international level, by organizing events for the popularization and communication of science: during the period 07-08.09.2023 the "International Conference on Reliable Systems Engineering «ICORSE 2023" was held », an event that facilitated the interaction and exchange of experience between experts from universities, research institutes and representatives of the business environment from several countries in Europe (England, France, Germany, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, etc.), North America and Asia, as this year we also benefitted from the participation of renowned specialists in the field of research in mechatronics and related fields. In the last part of the Conference, there was also an interactive Workshop with the title: "Opportunities and perspectives offered by European research funding programmes";
• Protecting the intellectual property rights, updating the intellectual property procedure, maintaining the innovation management system certification;
• Maintaining the quality-environment integrated system certification;
• Specific project management activities, including the performance of the annual financial audit.

Results of Phase III/2023:

• Carrying out specific activities to maintain the RENAR accreditation of the LE and LIL laboratories (the Calibration Laboratory in the field of mechanical quantities, pressures and the Length testing laboratory);
• Identification and analysis of the requirements of new standards and regulations in the field of noise and vibration measurement and evaluation in the industrial and environmental environment in the LIVA Testing Laboratory;
• Performing of a purchase for developing the infrastructure of the LIVA laboratory – Purchasing the noise and vibration analyzer (hardware and software);
• Configuring the INTERNET and INTRANET communication network from INCDMTM (network, application server, software installation for Windows and Linux);
• Purchasing of a plasma cutting machine for the development of the CMEPU infrastructure (Experimental, Prototype and Unique Models’ Execution Department) ;
• Developing the skills of young researchers by participating in trainings and mobilities - completing a 14-day internship at the "MEtRICs" Research Center in the University of Minho, Portugal;
• Maintenance of Metal Powder Selective Laser Sintering Equipment EOSINT 270 M Dual Mode;
• Purchasing of an equipment necessary for the development of the Micro and Nanocharacterization Laboratory;
• Repair, calibration and maintenance required for the plastic 3D printing equipment Stratasys Objet Desktop 30 Pro;
• Granting access to researchers to archives, libraries, publications, databases and other sources of information;
• Development and improvement of human resources through professional training in technological transfer (participation in a technology broker course).

Results of Phase II/2022:

• Support activities for the LE laboratory, through professional training in the accredited LE field, participation in competence schemes, preparation of documents regarding the implementation of internal supervision, support services for maintaining its accreditation;
• Increasing the quality of the services offered by LIL, by providing measurement services for the measurement/testing equipment provided; preparation of documentation in order to maintain the LIL accreditation, professional training, by participating in training courses, support services in order to maintain the accreditation, inspection/calibration/calibration services for the measuring machine MH 3D (TESA);
• Modernization of the infrastructure of the LIVA testing laboratory, by drawing up specifications and documentation for the purchase of a vibration and noise analyzer (hardware and software);
• Increasing the quality of the services offered by the Functional Measurements and Explorations Laboratory (MEF), by developing working procedures for the laboratory;
• Modernization of the communication network of INCDMTM, by drawing up specifications and purchasing a server, network components and an anti-virus software;
• Maintenance of precision machining equipment and increasing the level of professional training in the field of industrial automation, through adjustment, maintenance and equipment maintenance services;
• Increasing the visibility of CD activities and the international connections of INCDMTM, by participating in international activities to disseminate the results of research and technological development, by participating in conferences, international workshops and publishing scientific articles in ISI-covered/ISI-indexed or international database-indexed journals;
• Carrying out a technical feasibility study for the development of the Micro and Nanocharacterization Laboratory;
• Granting access to the researchers to archives, libraries, publications, databases and other sources of information – access to 3 international databases
• Protecting intellectual property rights, through activities to support patenting: development of a Guide to the exploitation of the PI and national patent applications/activities dedicated to the maitainance in force of patents;
• Organization of events for the popularization and communication of science: between September 8 and 9, 2022, the second edition of the International Conference ICoRSE - International Conference on Reliable Systems Engineering took place. The event took place online, on the ZOOM platform. The event brought together professors, PhD students and researchers from Europe, North America and Asia, from countries such as: England, Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. All peer-reviewed conference papers have been included in the Proceedings Volume, published by Springer, in the Lecture Notes collection of the Networks and Systems book series and indexed in Scopus;
• Specific project management activities, including the performance of the annual financial audit.

Results of Phase I/2022:

• Increasing the quality of the services offered by the Institute, by supporting activities to maintain the accreditation of the LE and LIL laboratories (the Calibration Laboratory in the field of mechanical quantities, pressures and the Length Testing Laboratory);
• Increasing the capability of the services of the Vibro-Acoustic Testing Laboratory (LIVA) to support the research activity in the field;
• Development of the infrastructure of the laboratory of measurements and functional explorations (MEF), through the acquisition of a software product;
• Developing and securing the communication network of INCDMTM;
• Increasing the capability of the Experimental, Prototype and Unique Models’ Execution Department;
• Development of Rapid Prototyping , Biomechatronics and Smart systems, Data Aquisition and Robotics, through product purchases and maintenance services;
• Granting access to researchers to archives, libraries, publications, databases and other sources of information;
• Accelerating technological transfer, through professional training in the field of IP and the development of entrepreneurial skills.
